Dollywood to begin construction on Adventure Mountain

Dollywood announced this week it will begin construction on a new attraction for 2010, Adventure Mountain. Originally scheduled to open this year the project was delayed due to a road construction project and the poor economy.

The new attraction, to be located on a hill above the Tennessee Tornado rollercoaster, will cover 2 acres. The attraction will offer visitors some of the challenges of the outdoors with three different courses rated from easy to expert to test the skill and strength levels of participants.

Indoor Waterpark TV Commercials

We have had some recent inquiries referring to an advertisement on TV about indoor waterparks in the area. The Resort currently has no TV commercials running pertaining to our waterpark, as there seems to be some confusion with Dollywood’s Splash Country and the Wilderness in the Smokies current TV campaigns. We have a video on our website and a page featuring photos of both the indoor and outdoor areas of our waterpark at The Resort at Governors Crossing.
